Pause and Effect

2017

A whirlwind of action and sound! Pause and Effect is a dance performance suitable for all the family. Four dancers and two musicians create a whirlwind of action and sound with only an occasional pause where timing is everything!

Using the building blocks of time the performers build, create and remake over and over again as their chain reactions transform a giraffe into a tea party, a fallen down wall into a riverbed, and much more. Should they race against the clock or stop and pause to enjoy the moment?

Pause and Effect is choreographed by Eleesha Drennan with original music by Willie Drennan with folk tunes and the rhythmical sounds of traditional instruments.

Principal funders: Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Belfast City Council.
