Moonlight Dream
2025

MAIDEN VOYAGE DANCE present MOONLIGHT DREAM, A Baby’s Cosmic Odyssey which will premiere at The Crescent Arts Centre, Belfast, as part of Belfast Children’s Festival 2025.
CJourney into the world of dreams and explore the mysteries of the night sky alongside a nurturing bear and a playful fox. Moonlight Dream by Georgia Tegou is a new dance production for babies aged 0-3 years and their caregivers and is suitable for the whole family. Accompanied by a music suite for piano and harp, performed live by composer Ursula Burns, little ones (and big ones!) will be mesmerised by this gentle journey inspired by a child’s transition into sleep.

Moonlight Dream is co-commissioned and produced by Maiden Voyage Dance supported by the National Lottery through the Arts Council Northern Ireland and is co-commissioned by Luail, the new all island dance company supported by Arts Council Ireland / An Chomhairle Ealaíon.
ARTIST PROFILES
Georgia Tegou
Choreographer and stage director, Georgia Tegou’s work approaches 'Dance-as-design', intertwining choreography with design to create immersive visual environments. Drawing inspiration from architecture, sculpture, visual arts, science and philosophy, she explores the symbiotic relationship between dance and spatial arts, seeking to encapsulate nuances of the human condition. Georgia and Xenia Aidonopoulou presented work in Belfast Children’s Festival in 2022 with the critically acclaimed Underwater.
Ursula Burns
Ursula Burns created a unique style of harping which draws from elements of Paraguayan and Celtic techniques with a focus on self-expression. As “The Dangerous Harpist" she has been smashing the cultural stereotypical image of the harp by taking it on a journey through Music, Theatre, Circus, Comedy and Performance. Ursula is an artist who defies categorization. Her unique style on the harp sets her apart as an original artist who breaks new ground and explores the boundaries of the artform taking the harp where no harp has gone before. In 2025 Ursula will be composing Moonlight Dream A Baby’s Cosmic Odyssey with Maiden Voyage Dance and Grace The Story of a Pirate Queen with Circus250.
