We offer a range of development opportunities throughout the year; from prodance weekly company class, to bespoke training initiatives including DanceLab and somatic movement masterclasses.

Company Class / Prodance

This is a weekly class open to NI-based dance artists to keep connected during the pandemic.  Class is facilitated by a range of artists and has been curated by Ryan O’Neill. Prodance is usually on Tuesday mornings at 10am with classes lasting up to 90 minutes. Upcoming Classes include:

DanceLab Intensives

These intensives further inquiry into technique and approaches to performance making for professional dancers and are delivered by invited guest facilitators. While we are unable to meet during the pandemic we are offering the following online Resi-Dance intensives;

Creative Encounters

This new strand of professional development is for dance artists wishing to develop one aspect of their creative or teaching practice. It provides paid time and space with other dance artists to further this enquiry. Creative Encounter artists in 2020/21 include; Helen Hall, Janie Doherty, Maeve McGreevy, Aisling McCormick and Elisabeth Higginson.

Somatic Movement Workshops

Somatic Movement is a system of neuromuscular education that allows more ease and freedom of movement and helps with the release of pain resulting from injury, stress, repetitive strain or habituated postures. Suitable for all ages and all bodies, courses take place throughout the year and online during the pandemic.
