Prodance Class Tuesday 27 October at 10am-Technique Class with Ian Garside
A distinctly physical training, starting with movement patterns & sequences that begin on the floor and gradually build to upright locomotion. Welcoming (and even encouraging) disorientation in our moving, we investigate precision in recklessness, and control in abandonment and harness and refine an all-round availability for a multitude of movement potentials.
To register for this class please email by 6pm the day before to firstname.lastname@example.org
This prodance series has been curated by Ryan O’Neill and is suitable for professional dancers and experienced physical performers based in Northern Ireland and is free to those out of work due to the pandemic.
Ian Garside (UK/ES) discovered contemporary dance through classical theatre. He completed his vocational training at Laban (UK) & P.A.R.T.S. (BE). Since 2010 he has performed with eminent companies across the globe, including Punchdrunk (Shanghai), Liquid Loft/ Chris Haring (Vienna) & the seminal DV8 Physical Theatre (London).
Alongside performing Ian teaches extensively. His passion for pedagogy is fed by the variety of experiences and approaches that people bring to the encounter. His passion for performing comes from a desire to engage people in an experienced process of reception and reflection.
