PRODANCE CLASSES STARTING IN OCTOBER

WEEKLY PRODANCE CLASSES
A new 24-week programme of classes for NI-based dancers and performers launches on Tuesday 6th October to help us all get back on our feet. Classes are taught by invited international guests and locally based artists and during the first 12 weeks will cover a range of contemporary techniques, improvisation, ballet, gyrotonics and yoga. We hope to record the zoom sessions and be able to provide access to recording up to one week afterwards. Classes will be a mix of online via zoom or in studio classes in Belfast depending on Covid restrictions / Public Health Guidance at the time.
To join register your interest in attending the zoom sessions please email nicola@maidenvoyagedance.com by 6pm the day before the class. The weekly Zoom link and password will be sent out via email to everyone who has registered this way.
Classes are suitable for professional dancers and experienced physical performers in Northern Ireland and are FREE for those out of work due to the pandemic.
For those in employment a nominal payment of £20 will give you access to all of the zoom classes offered during the first 12-week period. Please indicate this option when you email to register.
Tuesday 6th October and Tuesday 13 October at 10am-1130am on ZOOM
We kick start the term with Ira Seidenstein. Ira’s method uses the body and movement to trigger the intellect, intuition and creativity. Each exercise has only a few steps but can be interpreted in unlimited ways. Ira has taught the same exercises for Cirque du Soleil; Slava’s Snowshow; Queensland Ballet; Ponydance; T.R.A.S.H. Dance of Holland. The exercises can be adapted for any genre or aesthetic and can be used for personal development and throughout one’s career.
Others to look forward to this term include Shana Simmons, Ian Garside, Neil Towers, Alleyne Company, Vasiliki Stasinaki, Emily Terndrup, Ryan O’Neill.
The programme is curated by Ryan O’Neill on behalf of Maiden Voyage.
