Open Class for professional dancers

Maiden Voyage are currently in rehearsals for a new work by London based choreographer Sarah Golding. We will be opening up company class led by Sarah and rehearsal director Sandy Cuthbert. Classes are for professional dancers or dance students and will take place in the Helen Lewis studio, Crescent Arts Centre.

Book Contemporary class with Sarah Golding

Thursday 1st June, Tuesday 6th June, Tuesday 13th June

9.30 – 10.45am

Sarah’s class is high energy and focuses on applying technique to dynamic exercises. There will be high importance given to musicality and fluidity throughout the session.

The class will start with a short improv and series of exercises and phrases that are based on finding mobility in the whole body with a constant focus on rhythm throughout. You will explore how to find dynamism whilst travelling and moving through the floor. The session will end with a punchy yet fluid phrase based on using different levels of tension to move fully and swiftly.
