Match Make is a new Maiden Voyage commissioning initiative that brings dance artists and artistic collaborators together to work apart on short commissions during lockdown.

The second commission, In.-_At.-_If.-_, was commissioned from dance artist Maeve McGreevy and filmmaker, musician and designer Tom Hughes.




With time, In. – _ At. – _ If. – _ wishes to move through sound and listen through movement.

In. – _ At. – _ If. – _ was commissioned from Maeve McGreevy and Tom Hughes by Maiden Voyage for the Match Make initiative during the pandemic lockdown and was made in keeping with government guidelines at the time of creation.

Maeve McGreevy has a first-class honours degree from London Contemporary Dance School and currently focuses her practice in the fields of contemporary dance, Argentine tango and Argentine folklore. She is a resident teacher for Caminando Tango in Belfast, Tango Fever in London, and works alongside Slava Ivanov (Slovenia) and Tomás Corbalan (Argentina) during their trips to Ireland & UK. She has performed work by Ben Duke, Lea Anderson, Sarah Blanc|Moxie Brawl, Bradley Smail, and has been commissioned to choreograph and perform solo works in festivals at home and abroad. Match Make has provided an opportunity to jump into a new digital world with an old friend, Tom Hughes.

Tom Hughes is a collaborative filmmaker, musician and designer based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Tom has worked with many individuals and organisations across the UK and Ireland including Catalyst Arts, Gascia Ouzounian and music label Optophono, poet Maria McManus, Household, Centre for Contemporary Art, Derry~Londonderry, and band Blue Whale.

Collaborator Tom Hughes has kindly donated his fee back to the Match Make initiative which has allowed another freelance artist to be commissioned.
